Daniel Caruthers

    Daniel Caruthers graduated from the University Of Oklahoma with a BFA , emphasis on painting.  He minored in ceramics and art history.  He attended OU (1999-2004) on scholarship for wrestling and participated in the sport throughout his college career.  In the last year of his studies he was introduced to the late Don Poole (founder of Earth, Fire, & Spirit Pottery), and was inspired to continue his studies in ceramics at the Oregon College Of Art and Craft in Portland Oregon.  Daniel opened Fire Trout Studio in Portland, Oregon in 2009.  In 2011, he and his wife Jessica Poole-Caruthers moved to Lexington, VA, now partners under the Earth, Fire, & Spirit Potter name.
